Druide was diagnosed with a heart condition that is heriditary in other breeds but little is known of it in bloodhouds at 15 months of age when I took him in for his echocardiogram. He had been to numerous vets previous to this and none could detect the murmur that was rated a grade 1. I was told he would live a long life and it would not affect his longevity. I found him dead one morning when he was 18 months old. He has a cardiac number but I feel this was in error by the cardiologist and sent it in to OFA before researching his cardiac problem. I tried to get it back from OFA and they refused to take it off the OFA page stating they are a registry and it would not be removed.
Druide was a beautiful boy, one of my favorites and
he had a wonderful personality. I would have loved to see what would
have become of him had he matured into an adult.
