Poppy went to stay with Sheryn Hamm when she was about 5 weeks old.
When it came time for her to go from Mom to solid food she refused to eat.
She had to be syringe feed numerous times a day. We took her to the
vet who checked to see if any of her organs were not functioning properly
and did a stool sample which was negative and also had it sent out to be
checked under a micron microscope and this was also negative. Some
of her bloodwork showed she had something going on but nothing that was
serious so she was put on antibiotics for 10 days. Sheryn makes up
a soft food diet for her and she is fed many small meals a day and now
is eating dry dog food at 13 weeks of age. She weighs under 15 pounds
at this age, she looks like a miniature bloodhound. She has quite
a personality and can do some interesting things with her ears, she makes
it hard not to love her and Sheryn and Ron asked if they could keep her
so there she will stay for now.

Poppy is now 8 months old and weighs between 40 and 45 pounds.
She is small but has the energy for 5 bloodhounds and has an incredible
zest for life and is a happy go lucky girl. She also has an incredible
nose and would have made a terrific mantrailer.
