Owner Annette Norup--Denmark

Stella went to her new home in Denmark to live with Annette Norup and her family in May 2005, she was turned into rescue by her previous owner.  She spent 4 months here while we waited for her to go to her new home and I am pleased to have known a great ambassador for the breed.  Stella will share a home with another bloodhound Snif, an English Bulldog, two children Mieken and Julian.  Stella got off the plane from her long trip and made a 4 1/2 hour trip from Copenhagen to the area where the Danish Clubshow was being held. She ate her dinner and proceeded to investigate her new home.  She found a small ball and played with it for hours, enjoying her new surrounding.  We went to the showsite and settled in for the night.  Stella was entered in the show as well as in trailing to support the show while we already were there.  She took Best Bitch under U.S. breeder judge Susan Lacroix Hamil and got her first of three CC's (challenge certificate) and is on her way to becoming a Danish champion which includes having to get a trailing title as well.  She also was entered the following day in the beginners trailing and her new owner told the judge she had not worked this dog before.  Stella did great and her and Annette made a wonderful team to watch.  At the dinner that night Stella was awarded 1st place in her class with the judge a little speechless as to how to describe her trailing abilities.  He was very pleased and said "what a hound"!  There were between 14 and 19 dogs in her class, so this was an incredible win for Stella both in the show ring and on the trail.  Stella's new home is one we would all be pleased to have a hound in.  She gets lots of attention and walks several times a day and has found her place in bed with Annette.  She will continue to trail with Annette and Jesper will show her in the ring.  I am so pleased with this girl and knowing her new owners adore her and she will have a home for life.  It was a pleasure to see her new home and know she will be taken care of and loved for the rest of her life. It doesn't get any better than that.

September 4, 2005--Stella was shown by Jesper and got her second CC, judges comments--Very gentle lady, compact, strong in the back with typical head, straight legs and excellent movement.

December 2005--Stella received her 3rd challenge certificate and now needs her trailing title to become a Danish Champion.

Stella finshed 2005 in 2nd place in the Denmark shows, go Stella!
